Privacy policy / iOS apps
Your stuff stays yours.
This is the privacy policy for the iOS apps made by Ras Fincher, the person behind Rhymes With Jazz. It is short because there isn't much to say.

Audited by one guy, but he was very thorough.

What I collect
Nothing. The apps don't ask who you are, don't phone home, and don't send what you do in them to me or anyone else. I have no server full of your information, mostly because I have no server for that at all.
-
Where your data lives
On your device. The things you add to an app, such as files, settings and progress, are stored on your iPhone or iPad. If an app does heavy lifting like transcription or search, that work happens on the device too.
If an app offers iCloud sync, it uses your own private iCloud account. Apple runs that, and I can't see into it.
-
Permissions
An app might ask for access to something, like your files or your microphone, when a feature needs it. It asks only for what that feature needs, uses it only for that feature, and you can say no or change your mind later in Settings.
-
What Apple does
You get the apps from the App Store, so Apple knows you downloaded them, and handles any payment. If you have chosen to share analytics with developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple sends me anonymous crash reports and usage totals. They never identify you. Apple's side of things is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
-
Kids
The apps don't collect personal information from anyone, and that includes children.
-
If you write to me
If you get in touch about an app, I'll have your message and whatever way you used to reach me. I use those to reply, and that's all.
-
If this changes
If an app ever needs to work differently, this page will say so before it does, and the date at the bottom will change. No sneaky edits.

Ask me on Bluesky or Mastodon. A real person answers. It's me. I'm the person.
